The Transparency Act in Hevold Shipping

The Transparency Act of 1 July 2022 shall promote enterprises’ respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. The Act must also ensure the general public access to information regarding how enterprises address adverse impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.

Hevold Shipping complies with the Transparency Act and has anchored the work with – and compliance with – the Transparency Act in the board and management.

We will carry out due diligence assessments of supply chains, business partners and our own operations in accordance with the OECD’s guidelines for multinational companies. Our work with the Transparency Act will be carried out in collaboration with our owner Hevold Group AS.

As part of the work, Hevold Group has appointed a “transparency act officer” who will have overall operational responsibility for compliance with the company’s information obligation.
